Mykonos spreading the Madiba Magic this Mandela Day.
Mykonos Casino, your favourite entertainment destination on the West Coast, split up into four teams to give assistance to four very worthy causes this Mandela Day.
Siyabonga Care Village
Siyabonga provides health and social services to women and children in farming and fishing communities in Vredenburg along the West Coast where unemployment and poverty rates are high.
Each year Siyabonga continues to advance its mission to care for the sick, disabled and vulnerable with unconditional love. Mykonos Casino and Club Mykonos Resort supported this very worthy cause by putting together food parcels that were handed out on Mandela Day.
Alexis Hope Foundation Project
Mykonos Casino and Club Mykonos Finance and Admin Departments showed their support to the Alexis Hope Foundation project. The enthusiastic team sold 200 bracelets for R30 each. The profit made – R6,000 in cash – will go towards funding the exorbitant medical costs for Erica Rhoode who has Breast Cancer and Alexis Rhoode who has Neuroblastoma Cancer. This will go a long way to assist this family, who is struggling with multiple cancers.
Sandveld Hospice – Langebaan Branch
Mykonos Casino and Club Mykonos Resort Marketing and HR donated food hampers, tinned food, second-hand clothing and linen to this Hospice branch on Mandela Day. This very special organisation improves the quality of life of persons suffering from cancer, Aids, motor neuron disease and all other ailments no longer responding to curative treatment. They assist by controlling pain and other debilitating physical symptoms along with psychological, social and spiritual support.
Mykonos Casino HR and Mykonos Casino Surveillance took food hampers, hygiene products for the scholars, two microwaves and two fridges to Karitas, a public special needs education school, this Mandela Day. The recipients were most grateful for the donations.
